Hamakua Mushrooms Benefit from EZ ProgramPosted on May 25, 2013 in Success Stories
Robert Stanga, President of Hamakua Heritage Farm in Laupahoehoe, on the island of Hawaii, produces gourmet mushrooms known as Hamakua Mushrooms. The company enrolled in the Hawaii Enterprise Zones Partnership program which is a state government program that offers tax and other incentives to eligible businesses located in designated Enterprise Zones in the state.
“The EZ program has helped our company to grow tremendously. We have benefited from the tax credits offered through this program and are grateful to DBEDT and Hawaii County for bringing this program to our attention,” said Stanga. “We hope that the Hamakua brand is perpetuated through agricultural companies, such as ours, and we are pleased to be a part of Hawaii’s story.”
