Bio is the largest organization of its kind, providing advocacy, business development and communications services. 1,800 companies/ organizations exhibit at BIO International Convention, attracting 15,000+ attendees from over 60 countries. BIO One-on-One Partnering™ is the most efficient and economical way to find a business partner. Partnering has grown over the past 11 years to become biotech’s largest partnering event, hosting a record breaking 21,000+ partnering meetings in 2011. Ala Wai Pharma is developing permeability enhancers to improve oral bio-availability of polar drugs with initial application to neuraminidase inhibitors for treatment of influenza (Relenza & Peramivir)
Hawaii Biotech is developing vaccines for tropical and emerging diseases and has the only West Nile Virus Vaccine in clinical studies; is the longest established biotech company in Hawaii.
HNU-NANOPOINT is a division of HNU Photonics: Medical device development, high-throughput drug discovery platforms, individualized treatment research platforms for Cancer therapy, IVF research solutions and microscopy innovations.
Noni Biotech International
Noni Biotech International develops, manufactures, researches and markets nutraceutical and phytopharmaceutical supplements derived from Noni plants grown in Hawaii.
Pono Pharma is a drug development company focused initially on its proprietary proteasome inhibitor. The target first indication is multiple myeloma, where it has shown good results in the lab and initial animal testing. Pono Pharma will be in Phase I testing later this year. The original IP came from the University of Hawaii, University of Zurich, and University of Munich.
