Business Development and Support Division

Nearly 60 business owners attended, in person and by conference call, the HiSTEP 2017 Introductory Session on January 24, 2017, held at FTZ No. 9, Homer Maxey International Trade Center. After an introduction by John Holman, Director, Pacific of the U.S. Commercial Service and keynote remarks by Jane Sawyer, District Director of SBA Hawaii, Jamie Lum and Mark Ritchie of DBEDT explained in detail about the components of HiSTEP and how companies can apply and participate. The HiSTEP partners followed, each briefly explaining their respective role in supporting Hawaii exporters in HiSTEP and also beyond. The DBEDT HiSTEP partners are:
