Festival of Pacific Arts & Culture (FESTPAC)
The Festival of Pacific Arts & Culture (FESTPAC) is a traveling festival hosted every four years by a different Pacific Island Country. FESTPAC was initiated by The Pacific Community (SPC), and held in Fiji in 1972, to stop the erosion of the traditional practices by sharing and exchanging culture at each festival.
27 participating island nations include American Samoa, Aotearoa, Australia, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Guam, Hawaiʻi, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Norfolk, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn, Rapa Nui, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tahiti Nui, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Wallis & Futuna.
Hawaii will be hosting the Festival of Pacific Arts & Cultures (#FESTPAC2020) in 2020.
The Festpac-Hawaii 2020 Planning Committee is seeking public, corporate and cultural support from the Hawaii community for what has been called the “Olympics of Pacific Island Culture.” To offer your support, or for more information, please use the contact information listed below.
