Former SVP reporting to the COO, who started Global Brand Management for Walt Disney Company

Lang will address what’s needed to develop, protect and give value to a global brand across multiple products.  She will share her experience unifying Disney’s movies, theme parks and consumer products under one consistent brand umbrella and the new opportunities a non-siloed approach created. 

Daniel Nellis
General Manager, Dole Food Co. Hawaiʻi

Nellis will speak on the Hawai‘i Brand’s appeal and value as a corporate asset with applications beyond tourism, that helped Dole Food Co. expand into one of the largest global food production and distribution brands that remains rooted in the Islands.

Ambler will discuss opportunities and challenges in developing a country of origin geographic brand for this Island nation. He leads programs for New Zealand Made, New Zealand Grown, and New Zealand Code and collaborates with the Māori community.

Harold Koda, former Curator in Charge of The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Description:
Perspectives from Harold Koda, who transformed the Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume Institute from historic exhibitions to a forward fashion trend setter. With Anna Wintour, Koda started the Met Gala. Koda will share strategies for how Hawai‘i fashion manufacturers can develop their brands in a changing fashion world. Currently a nationally recognized author and lecturer, Koda is a graduate of ‘Aiea High School, University of Hawai‘i and Harvard University.
