Wednesday, August 20, 2025, 3:00pm, Hawaii Time (Virtual Session)

South Korea (the Republic of Korea, or ROK) is a close ally and key trading partner for the United States. The country is a significant export market for Hawaii companies and organizations due to its East Asian geography, historical and cultural ties, and a growing wealth that allows for purchases of Hawaii’s premium products. This webinar will introduce Hawaii firms to the Korean market with presentations from U.S. Commercial Service staff at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, and discuss the KORUS–the free trade agreement (FTA) between South Korea and the United States, which greatly reduces or eliminates barriers to entry. We will also have discussions with businesspeople who have experience in the Korean market, followed by a Q&A session.
