The Community Based Economic Development (CBED) program of the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT), in partnership with the Hawaii Farm Bureau, the Department of Agriculture and Pineapple Crate, presented a workshop for farmers on July 31, 2019.
Wayne Thom, CBED Manager, presented useful information about CBED’s Mirco Loan Program and the Enterprise Zones Program (EZ). This outreach enabled farmers located within Central Oahu to be informed about opportunities they might consider to grow their businesses.
“It is always wonderful to meet with constituents and provide helpful information. CBED and EZ are great resources for businesses in Hawaii and especially for companies in the agriculture business,” said Thom.
DBEDT is planning more outreach within the State during 2019/2020. For more information, please contact Wayne Thom at wayne.k.thom@hawaii.gov
