National Manufactoring WeekLocal manufacturers are a vital part of the Hawaii community and make a significant contribution to the state and national economy. DBEDT through a number of its in-house and attached agency programs actively supports the growth and success of the manufacturing industry in Hawaii.  In celebration of the 2nd annual National Manufacturing Week INNOVATE Hawaii and the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii again organized and hosted a popular half-day bus crawl and tours of some of Oahu’s most innovative manufacturers. The program has also been expanded to include a series of tours of manufacturers on the neighbor islands during Manufacturing Week.  Coastal Windows, Chocole’a, the Cut Collective, Maui Divers and the University of Hawaii College of Engineering were the highlighted manufacturers this year, representing the diversity of manufacturers in the State.
