Hawaii contingent ready to do business as BIO International opens

The annual BIO International Convention officially opened today in San Diego. DBEDT’s Business Development and Support Division (BDSD) and High Technology Development Corporation (HTDC), along with the Maui Economic Development Board, the UH Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation and the UH Office of Technology Transfer and Economic Development (OTTED), are supporting six Hawaii companies seeking to promote their respective life science technologies to the world.

Each company has been busy preparing for, and are now engaging in meetings with their potential partnering companies, with over 100 meetings being scheduled over the 3-day conference. The annual convention attracts 15,000 business leaders, scientists, executives, investors and industry leaders from over 60 countries.
