Hawaii Pavilion Makes a Splash at Surf ExpoPosted on Jan 21, 2015 in Exporting, Helping Business, News, Surf Expo
DBEDT kicked off the new year with the first-ever Hawaii Pavilion at Surf Expo January 8-10, 2015, in Orlando, Florida. A 1,600-square foot pavilion featured 20 Hawaii companies with a range of products from surf and SUP boards, to waterwear and resort apparel, to gift and souvenir items. Surf Expo organizers incorporated a Hawaiian theme into the show, greeting buyers with leis on Opening Day and treating them to a display of Hawaiian and Polynesian dancing. The trade show drew strong attendance from 48 U.S. states and 49 countries. Among the 2,500+ booths, there were more than 250 new exhibitors and over 1,800 brands. Surf Expo is the longest running and largest boardsports and beach/resort lifestyle tradeshow in the world.
