On September 30th the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii successfully held their second annual one day Small Business Academy in partnership with the City & County of Honolulu. Various business support organizations including DBEDT presented complimentary seminars designed to provide small businesses with information and tools needed to start, develop and grow their businesses.
In addition to an information table DBEDT and DBEDT attached agencies lead a seminar on Government Resources for Manufacturers. The speakers were Mark Ritchie, Business Development and Support Division, DBEDT; James Nakano, Hawaii Foreign-Trade Zone No. 9 and Jayna Uyehara, Business Action Center.
